Tyagrajan Swaminathan, alias Tyagi, heads the biostatistics and programming department, spearheading innovation and growth in Ephicacy’s biometrics practice. Tyagi has over 18 years of experience in the clinical data analytics domain. He started his career in the U.S. as a statistical programmer. After spending five years in the U.S., he moved to Ephicacy’s India office in 2012 and has been a key member in building the programming department both with respect to employees and clients. He has a proven record of managing large FSP clients.
Tyagi actively participates in industry level conferences such as PharmaSUG, PhUSE, and ConSPIC delivering talks, leading panel discussions, and being part of conference scientific committees. Apart from his passion for achieving efficiencies and operational excellence, his other areas of interest are building tools for automation, use of open-source technologies such as R and Python, and keeping up with the latest CDISC standards for clinical trials. Tyagi holds an M.S. in applied statistics from the U.S. and an M.Sc. in statistics from Mumbai University, India.
