Pete is Vice President of our Biostatistical Consulting practice and joined Ephicacy in 2024 following the acquisition of Advance Research Associates (ARA), where he served as Founder and President/CEO, providing strategic leadership and overseeing operations and client partnerships.
With over 40 years of experience, Pete provides guidance to clients, project teams, and senior management.
Prior to founding ARA, he gained extensive experience as a biostatistician at Syntex, Inc., Cetus Corporation, and Collagen Corporation. He started his career in the CRO industry heading the data management and biostat programming groups at Parexel, then leading biostats and project management at Resource Biometrics. He has provided statistical expertise on clinical studies for medical devices, biologics, and pharmaceutical products across oncology, pain, arthritis, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and endocrine disorders.
Pete has supported regulatory submissions in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Japan, and China. He has also served as the biostatistician for data monitoring committees and has helped with preparing presentations to regulatory authorities, investors, and scientific advisory boards as well as materials for journal articles and presentations at professional meetings.
Pete brings his passion for biostatistics to the classroom as an instructor in the Clinical Trials Certificate program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has also taught related courses at San Francisco State University, San Jose State University, and internationally.
